Whilst we primarily reserve the summer months for personal use, there is occasionally the opportunity to rent the chalet for either the occasional overnight stay, or longer holidays. Please contact us via email to check availability.
The French Alps are primarily known as a winter destination but there are actually a greater variety of things to do in the summer months. You can enjoy hiking, climbing, cycling , water based activities or simply sitting back and relaxing!
Montchavin has beautiful bars and restaurants where you can enjoy al fresco wining and dining. The village has a recently built indoor/outdoor swimming pool with a beautiful lawned terrace for relaxing in the summer sunshine.

The Chalet is located on the edge of the famous Parc National de la Vanoise which has over 600km of maintained footpaths for you to explore.
The famous long distance path GR5 runs right past the Chalet and we are perfectly placed for exploring the breathtakingly beautiful Beaufort/Tarentaise region.
For the more adventurous amongst you there are countless peaks of differing grades of difficulty wihin easy reach of Chalet des Aiguilles.
We have hiked extensively in the region, and Sam is an experienced climber. We will be happy to advise you on all aspects of your walking holiday.
Chalet des Aiguilles is a perfect base for all forms of cycling.
VTT ( off road) – our proximity to the Vanoise Express lift opens up the entire Les Arcs/La Plagne area – famous for its VTT routes. Suitable for beginner through to expert riders.
Road cycling – Chalet des Aiguilles is surrounded by standard Tour de France climbs including the Col de Roseland, the Col du Petit Bernard and the Col de l’Iseran. We provide indoor bike storage.
For those who prefer a gentler form of cycling there is a beautiful piste cyclable running along side the Isere in the valley below Montchavin.
Bikes are are available to hire in the village or at one of the numerous outdoor activity operators in the Isere valley.
The Isere flows in the valley just below Montchavin and offers a wide number of activities such as white water rafting/canyoning/hydrospeed . There are a number of operators just a short drive away from Chalet des Aiguilles
